The way time is counted differs through the dinoworld stories, up until what is later known as year 1 after dawn (AD), the years were counted as "Stellar Years" (SY) measuring the time after humans spread throughout the stars, which was the general time counting method throughout the earth empire. After his encounter with scarface (a rogue Deinonychus), Turner declares a new age, and the people of dinworld started counting the years after dawn (AD), all years before the encounter were now known as "before dawn" (BD).
The Timeline:
42 BD - First Landing - The Mylas Shuttle sent out from the Chronos spaceship lands on DW-435 B to survey the northwestern parts of the main continent, onboard are Dr. Marc Lewen, Dr. Victor Shafter and Michael Cassidy.
41 BD - Civilization begins - The Capital is built, now only known as "The Colony", marking the beginning of humans on Dinoworld, other early settlements are Lincolnsville and a supply dock that would later become known as Beachside / Seaside (depends on who you ask)
35 BD - Hotels converted into Apartments - Originally conceived as a tourist planet, Dinoworld proved to be so amazing that the toursits didn´t want to leave, making hotels obsolete, they were converted into apartments. It was during this time that the poachers began to show up.
20 BD - Poacher "war" - A massive conflict begins between the rangers and the poachers, even though the poachers has calmed down during the later years, they are still very much keeping the conflict alive.
14 BD - "The Great Fire" in the NW Territory, White-Eye created - A great fire begins in the Northwest Territory, destroying several of the smaller settlements, White-eye is trapped under a log, and the rangers arrive and save him, however, the fire gives him his iconic appearance.
10 BD - Scarface rejected by White-Eye, Turner joins Rangers - Scarface, back then only a youngling, is rejected by White-Eye and given his clawmarks across his face. Turner joins the rangers, however, he doesn´t reveal is backstory.
8 BD - Turner takes in Mackenzie - Back then she was only 14, Turner takes in Mackenzie, and intoduces her to the ranger programme.
1 AD - Turner encounters Scarface - Dawn of Scars
